Ce mois de juillet, nous vous invitons à nous rejoindre à Arles, pour les Rencontres Annuelles de la Photographie. A cette occasion, nous continuerons de montrer l'exposition Deep Night de David Nissen et nous présenterons également les Chimigrammes de Fanny Béguély. Deux oeuvres artistiques très différentes, chacune méritant d'être vue.
A propos des Chimigrammes de Fanny Béguély :
"Alors que le photographe classique n’utilise la plupart du temps que son œil et son doigt, c’est tout le corps de Fanny Béguély qui est mis en jeu ici : non seulement la gestuelle du peintre ou du graveur pour étendre les produits sur le papier, parfois à mains nues pour une meilleure sensation haptique, mais aussi la performance chorégraphique, rituelle, qui l’a fait réaliser en une journée le mur de petits formats. L’artiste travaille le plus souvent à tâtons, incapable de savoir par avance quelle image elle va obtenir (même si elle suit et documente un processus scientifique rigoureux) et conjuguant sa maîtrise du procédé avec l’intervention du hasard. "

Les expositions se dérouleront au 12 place de la république 13200 Arles mais nous serons également à Cosmos pour la foire aux livres photos du 03 au 08 juillet de 12h à 20h (Ancien collège Mistral accès 2 rue du condorcet 13200 Arles)
We invite you to joins us in Arles during July, for the annual event, Les Rencontres Photographiques, where we will continue to show David Nissen's exhibition, Deep Night. We also hope that you will come to discover the other exhibition we will present, Fanny Béguély's Chimigrammes. Two very different photographic works each deserving to be seen.
About the Chimigrammes of Fanny Béguély :
Whereas a classic photographer only uses his eye and finger most of the time, it is Fanny Béguély's whole body which is put into question here : not only the gesture of a painter or of a printmaker, sometime using bare hands to create a better tactile sensation, but also the choreographic and ritualistic performance, which conducted her to realize in only one day the wall made of small formats. The artist often works by feeling, unable to know in advance which picture she is going to create (even if she follows very scientific and rigorous rules during the process of her art making), connecting the control of the process with coincidence.
