Tokyo en couleur !
Nous vous invitons le vendredi 19 avril à partir de 18h pour assister au vernissage de l'exposition: "Tokyo en couleur" en présence des deux photographes japonais Takehiko Nakafuji et Yusuke Hanazaki.
City Lightsest le premier livre de Yusuke Hanazaki, dans lequel il explore les deux plus grandes villes du Japon, Tokyo et Osaka, à la recherche des lumières et des couleurs chaudes qu'il enregistre pendant la journée.
Quant à Takehiko Nakafuji, dont l’empreinte se trouve indéniablement dans ses images noir et blanc contrastées, le fait de s'orienter vers la couleur est un nouveau challenge. Dans son dernier livre White Noise,même si le noir est blanc est omniprésent, on voit apparaître ici et là des photos couleurs, majoritairement de nuit.
Contrairement à Yusuke, qui aime prendre des bains de foule, Takehiko se concentre plus sur l'aspect architectural de la ville, donnant à cette exposition un regard croisé intéressant sur cette ville tant photographiée en noir et blanc.

TOKYO IN COLOUR!
Please join us on Friday, April 19th, around 6 pm for the opening of our new exhibition “Tokyo in Color” in presence of the two Japanese photographers, Takehiko Nakafuji and Yusuke Hanazaki.
In City Lights, Yusuke Hanazaki’s first monograph, he explores Japan’s two largest cities, Tokyo and Osaka, in search of the warm lights and colours he captures during the day.
For Takehiko Nakafuji, well known for his high-contrast black-and-white photographs, the interest in colour represents a new challenge. Even if black and white is omnipresent in his latest book, White Noise, we can see colour photos, mainly night views, appearing here and there.
Unlike Yusuke, who enjoys mingling with the crowds, Takehiko focuses on the architectural aspect of the city. By exhibiting their works together, “Tokyo in Colour” offers an interesting dialogue between two visions of this city so often photographed in back and white.
