Nous avons le plaisir de vous inviter au lancement de l'édition spéciale du livre "BELLEVILLE sur un nuage" par Ivan Alechine et Pierre Alechinsky le mercredi 23 février à partir de 18h.
A cette occasion un portfolio tiré à 5 exemplaires sera présenté avec deux tirages argentiques signés des deux artistes Pierre Alechinsky et Ivan Alechine ainsi que le livre lui aussi numéroté et signé.
Nous exposerons également des photographies argentiques de Belleville dont certaines sont inédites.
"Il n'est pas courant de suivre la destruction d'un quartier à partir de photographies prises par un petit garçon de 13 ans et des poussières en compagnie de son père qui lui montre le chemin, la manière de ..., photographies qu'il continuera de prendre adolescent puis jeune adulte.
Le carnet Belleville sur un nuage sort de dix rouleaux de pellicule noir et blanc de format 24 x 36 qui vont de l'automne 1966 à l'été 1973. Dans les hauts de Belleville, vingtième arrondissement de Paris, entre les stations de métro Belleville, Pyrénées et Couronnes, nous, c'est à dire mon père - le peintre Pierre Alechinsky-, ma mère, mon petit frère Nicolas, né en 58, et moi. Nous y étions arrivés en 1955."

We are delighted to invite you to the launch of the special edition of the book "BELLEVILLE sur un nuage" by Ivan Alechine et Pierre Alechinsky on Wednesday 23 February from 6pm.
On this occasion, a portfolio of 5 copies will be presented with two signed silver prints of the two artists Pierre Alechinsky and Ivan Alechine as
well as the book, also numbered and signed.
We will also be exhibiting silver photographs of Belleville, some of which have never been seen before.
"It is unusual to follow the destruction of a neighbourhood from photographs taken by a little boy of 13 and a bit in the company of his father, who shows him the way, the way to ..., photographs that he will continue to take as a teenager and then as a young adult.
The notebook Belleville sur un nuage (Belleville on a Cloud) is made up of ten rolls of black and white film in 24 x 36 format, from autumn 1966 to summer 1973. In the upper reaches of Belleville, the twentieth arrondissement of Paris, between the Belleville, Pyrenees and Couronnes metro stations, we, that is to say my father - the painter Pierre Alechinsky -, my mother, my little brother Nicolas, born in 1958, and me. We had arrived there in 1955."
