This photobook is a colorful and vibrant portrait of the city of Sao Paulo.The photos were taken between September 1966 and February 1982, but have no title or specific place or date. American photographer George Leary Love (1937-1995) came to live in São Paulo in 1966, after falling in love with the photographer Claudia Andujar, Swiss naturalized in Brazil. In 1963 he founded with Minor White, Paul Caponigro and others, the Association of Heliographers where he taught and organized exhibitions until 1966, the year he traveled to Latin America and settled in São Paulo. He worked at the Photography Department of the São Paulo Art Museum, was a photographer for the magazines Realidade, Quatro Rodas and Claudia (1967-70), The Bondinho (1969-71) and editor of the Photography Magazine (1971-73). In 1981-82 he was a consultant for Eletropaulo, where he organized and retrieved the company's photographic documentation about the city of São Paulo. In 1987 he returned to the United States where he was a consultant to Sony in the field of electronic photography (1988-89) and a member of LMC / TV of Mamaroneck, NY, for which he developed programs. In 1993 he returned to São Paulo, where he died in 1995.
