Loisirs anglais is Tony Ray-Jones's only photobook. The photographer died in 1972 at the age of 28 years. Enough to achieve an original photographic work, both serious and funny, very accurate. A portrait of english rituals : seaside, summer carnivals, dancers, beauty contests in Eton or Glyndebourne. A work that might have inspired Martin Parr's work.

Hardcover under dust jacket, 275 x 245 mm. French edition, 1974. Gravure printing. Text in french. Extremely rare in this pristine condition.
