A traumatic experience, the loss of the mother, becomes the narrative frame of my series. The initial concept was to explore the idea of home, so I began to look closely at my family album photographs. The action of digging into the past triggered memories and brought unresolved emotions to the surface. The reconstruction of the original photographs is my attempt to come to terms with death and the imprint that it leaves upon us. The process reveals and represents hidden emotional layers and provokes reflection.
