Estelle Hanania’s photographs quite brilliantly meld the real and imaginary—the extraordinary and the incidental—to create contemporary visual folklore. While attending the School of Fine Arts in Paris, Estelle Hanania experimented with photography and honed her skills as a freelance art director. A month after receiving her degree, Hanania was awarded the 2006 Hyères Festival’s photography prize.
