This is the first publication from Yasuhiro Yoshioka. It presents three series of nudes: "Decomposition and Composition," "Period of Metamorphosis and Interperiodic Phenomenon," and "Man = Machine." As evidenced by these titles, Yoshioka's treatment of the "nude" breaks away from traditional preoccupations with beauty and form, and is more akin to a discourse aimed at reformulating the idea of the body in mechanical terms.

Hardcover with dust-jacket in slipcase, 23 x 21,8 cm, 86 pages + perforated flap inserts at the back. 57 B&W photographs. Referenced in « Japanese Photobooks of the 1960's and 70s » by Kaneko & Vartanian, p 72-75. Some damage to a few page corners; as if the pages were once stuck together (see photos).
