In an era when photographers of the same generation were active around the world, he looked up to his hometown Tottori as the place of his life, and sought avant-garde photographic expression while incorporating the local climate, climate, and culture. This book is one of the 10-volume series "Eizo no Gendai", which summarizes the works of representative Japanese photographers, and is Shoji Ueda's first photo book. A personal documentary edited throughout the four seasons about the climate of San'in and the people who live there.
