POSTSCRIPT
I almost blush for myself to be called as the author of this book. The fine fictures compiled in this book were prepared by Mr. Ken Kishimoto, one of the most reputable experts in Sports Photography. My dear friend, Professor Seichi Hamada, well-known for his talent in graphic art, did most of the work in editing and designing.
These two gentlemen should be credited as the true authors of this book.
This book was made by our sincere hope to preserve the impression and performance of Japanese gymnasts whom today we justly proud in the world. The record of these extraordinarily gifted gymnasts should be preserved as the valuable heritage to the generations to come.
We shall be most happy if this graphic record would serve the purpose as the commemoration of this good year 1964, the XVIII Olympiad.
October 10th, 1964.
