This excellent reportage photography book was shot in the same year The Beatles performed their last show in their home city. This book documents the vacuum created by their departure and the fleeting moment when the world’s media descended “Mersey Sound” had the world’s media descended upon it. There’s plenty of shots inside the Cavern club and The Clayton Squares  loading in their gear in Matthew Street. Also, Liverpool “beat” poet Adrian Henri is featured. It comes with a recording of 'The Clayton Squares" at the Cavern Club and "The Hideaways" at the Sink Club.

Hardcover under dust jacket, and vinyl. 20,5 x 20,5cm, b&w photographs. In very good condition other than scratches and traces of restauration (coloring) on the dust jacket. Very rare with the dust jacket and the vinyl as issued. The vinyl is a recording of a concert at the Cavern Club on side A and at the Sink Club on side B.
