An important and very moving photo essay about mental distress made by Luciano d'Alessandro in Italia during the mid sixties. One of the first documents revealing the inside of a madhouse, the loneliness of patients and the violence of institutions.

Hardcover under dust jacket, 320 x 250 mm. First edition, 1969. Gravure printing. Text in italian. Black & white photographs. In very good condition especially the book looks unread. A small tear on cover and a few traces on back cover. Reproductions amazing and well preserved. A powerful photobook. Very Collectible!
