Guido Mocafico is a photographer and art lover who is inspired by the vocabulary and colours of nature. He views jellyfish as the work of an artist in his own right. A strange sensation emanates from his images, which combine a vision of the unknown with a great deal of mystery. In Greek mythology, the Medusa sees, and sees with such intensity that she petrifies anyone who meets her gaze. Like the eye of the photographer armed with his camera. Photographs of an extraordinary species on the verge of abstraction that bear no resemblance to the rest of the animal world.
Guido Mocafico was born in Switzerland in 1962 and lives and works in Paris. Specialising in still life, he works regularly with international magazines such as Numéro, Vogue Paris, Big, The Face, Self Service and Wallpaper.
