A collection of black and white portraits by German photograher Hans-Peter Feldmann.
"This book shows photos in which (among others) the same person is always depicted. In terms of content, it is a summarized "family album" of a woman. The 330 pictures shown here were selected from a total of around 500 photos that this woman owns of herself, starting in 1943, the last photos dating from 1994. The selection of the pictures was mainly based on documentary, factual considerations. The order of the photos was based on their chronological origin. The number of photographers who took these pictures is not known, but is probably more than 200. In any case, the majority are amateur photographers; only a few photos were taken by professional photographers. Most of the individual images are shown unaltered, i.e. uncropped and not cropped. All the pictures in this book are in black and white. The originals are exclusively black and white in the first two decades of the period shown, before the first color images appear in the 1960s. In the last two decades shown, the original photos are all in color. The legends at the end of the book provide information about the time, place of origin and motifs of the photos."
