A poet of still images without words, Leonard Freed invites us to explore beyond words, in the "universal language" that photography is for him. To do this, he has selected the most powerful images, taken over more than thirty years of a career spent travelling to every continent, backpack and camera in hand. For this unavoidable witness of wars and other catastrophes, the important thing is not the "disaster" that he has made his profession, but "life with all its emotions". It is around this theme that he has designed the layout of his collection, combining commissioned work and personal research.
