Best known for his fashion photography, Irving Penn’s repertoire also includes portraits of creative greats, still lifes and ethnographic photographs from around the world. For his long-term project Worlds in a Small Room he used a portable studio lit with natural light only. This setup allowed him to stage the locals in front of his infamous stained canvas while still close to their daily life.

Hardcover under dust jacket, 27,4 x 27,4 cm, first English edition. b&w photographs. In very good condition other some scratches and wears on both part of the dust jacket. Dustjacket yellowed.
