The project was born out of a desire by three photographers from the Prisme collective to collaborate on a unified theme: documenting the daily reality of a typical, medium-sized Quebec working-class city. Over nearly two years, they photographed Drummondville (the hometown of Rajotte and Lauzon), capturing its cultural, economic, and social fabric. The title specifically refers to the Trans-Canada Highway exit that leads into the city.
