Yuko Nakamura photographed the Tokyo teen scene five years before releasing this book in 1980. The Harajuku district of Tokyo was a rival to the Kings Road as the epicentre of youth cult and street fashion. Nakamura's super brilliance was in photographing kids dressed up to pose in an unposed natural fashion.
