This rare and highly collectible book has over 400 pages of photographs of Bird, and reproduces hundreds of handwritten notes, contracts, clippings and ephemera, all carefully preserved by his widow. This example is absolutely stunning and has only been opened to photograph.  Essential for any jazz collector.

Hardcover, slipcase is missing, 385 x 270 mm. First edition, 1981. Black & white photographs. Text in english and in french. Slight traces on cover. Twice bumped (1 cm each) along the bottom of cover but in very good condition overall.
