Laure Albin Guillot has been interested in micrographs since the beginning of theCentury: she photographed them for her research husband.
However, she perceived very quickly the plastic possibilities they concealed.
However, it is at the end of the years 1920 that she will exploit them aesthetically, then revealing to the public thesumptuous show,
invisible to the naked eye, crystals and microorganisms.
Micrographie décorative presents a selection of twenty plates in large format, of exceptional quality,
whose printing has been entrusted to Draeger; one of the best printers of the time.
The photos are printed in colour on metallic paper that mirrors and looks like give a kind of transparency and inner light to each of the clichés,
which evoke an abstract composition, regular and often geometric.
