This books stands apart, there is a rhythm to the sections, skyscapes, retinal scans, limbs and rooms. The book itself is very nicely designed with gatefold spreads.
I was trying to think is the title literal, dreams of flying, REM sleep, reclining figures and bedrooms, they all connect and yet Yokota's process is one of obscuring through layers of reproduction. I particularly like the images of rooms, where his process of rephotographing

is most obvious, is that the delay from the title, the obscuring of detail over time, the repetition erasing the facts, what we once thought we remembered is really a replaying of memory that with each telling gets further from the facts? Daisuke Yokota makes great books, but isn't afraid to take risks and go off on creative tangents.
