To create this series, Shinoyama visited about 80 houses across the country: varying between the old, traditional Japanese and the modern, Western influenced styles. By highlighting the details of these houses and the people that inhabit them, he emphazises the strange atmosphere that human activities bring about and the changing landscape of post-war Japan.
