Comments: Hard cover under illustrated jacket, 31 by 23,5cm, gravure printing, text in English (First American edition). Stamped from the rare book room of The Strand in NYC. Some peeling on the jacket and the first page has been cut (see photos). Condition reflected in the affordable price.
Photo essay on nudity and Japanese culture, most subjects clothed in loincloths and only partially naked. Includes a guide to the naked festivals of Japan. Glazed pictorial hardcover with red cloth spine.
This photographs also made young samourai in 1966 and was a pioneer for men's nudes pictures , he is also very known to have photographed Mishima and his famous Harakiri (Seppuku)
