NIPPON 2011 is a photographic journey through a land of splendour and chaos. On 9 October 2011, Frédérick Carnet landed in Osaka, holding his bike and his Mamiya RZ67. He was preparing to spend 3 months in Japan and take photographs of its nature. He wanted to show what nature has to offer and what it takes back when it manifests itself violently. He will be spending almost a month on the island of Hokkaido before heading for Honshu and its east coast, which was heavily hit by the tsunami.
