“Isolation (Self)” is an ongoing series of self-portraits and handmade cyanotype books created while in quarantine during the COVID-19 pandemic. The series explores the range of my isolation related emotions and anxieties, from the panic and sense of loss experienced in the early lockdown days to the desire for intimacy, severe loneliness and disconnection felt after almost six months alone. The images were created using an antique wooden view camera and the cyanotype prints were contact-printed directly from my camera negatives.
