Le Voyage Mexicain (The Mexican Journey) tells the story of photographer Bernard Plossu's two years in Mexico (1965 and 1966), during which he immortalised the road, the journey, the wanderings, the search for others and the sensations of freedom. He painted a dream country for the entire beatnik generation. This journey, the images of which were published in the emblematic Voyage Mexicain, published by Contrejour (1979), has established itself in the world of photography as a record of exceptional strength and poetry.

This the catalog to the exhibition at the Musée des Beaux-Arts et d'Archéologie de Besançon in 2011.
