This is the first photobook published by the publishing label spewedition. It was founded in 2016 by three Japanese photographers: Daisuke Yokota, Naohiro Utagawa and Koji Kitagawa. In addition to publishing books, they combine installation and performance.

The book "SPEW" is an experimental attempt to express something beyond photography through a mixture of abstract and figurative expression. The three artists' areas of expression, created in monochrome, expand endlessly and go on forever. The world created by 'spew', which is mainly abstract, stimulates our imagination.
