Belgian-born photographer Wouter Deruytter’s first book BRUSSEL…? is an intimate view into a world of difference and tolerance. (Drag-) Queens of the night welcome the photographer and his camera, obviously recognizing his honest intentions. There are echoes here of Christer Strömholm’s publication Vännerna från Place Blanche (Friends from Place Blanche) (1983). (Andreas H. Bitesnich)

Hardcover, 29,5 x 25,6 cm, (without dust jacket as issued). B&W and color photographs. Self-published (Double You Dee) 1990 in an edition of 1000 copies. Part of a limited series of 250 signed and numbered copies. In very good condition, other than marks of exposure to sunlight on the front and back cover, as well as a light imperfections and a stain on the last page (see pictures).
