For more than fifteen years, photographer Stephan Vanfleteren has strolled through the territory of 'Belgicum', getting lost and driven by emotion and love for his motherland. It became a journey through a country with scars, in search of an elusive identity but with the melancholic soul of an old nation.

This international bestseller, with more than 11,000 copies sold in the past decade, grew into a reference in the history of Belgian photography. On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of this cult book in 2017, it is now being reissued.
