After leaving Light Publicity in 1968, Shinoyama began a successful career photographing subjects which ranged from portraits of pop stars to travel photographs of the Silk Road, capturing them with a fine expressive technique.

His unique character and appearance made him a mass media star and he popularized the phrase gekisha ('agitated shot')-a series using amateur models.

This publication is a landmark in 1960s nude photography. The large-scale format with its iconic cover design, heavy colour-saturated sections and fold-outs combine to form a complex and radical piece of photo publishing. Art Direction by Gan Hosoya, with an illustration by Makoto Wada and a text on the art of Kishin Shinoyama by Yukio Mishima.

Softcover magazine, 36,5 x 25,5 cm, b&w and color photographs. First edition. Kept in very good condition other than a small stain on the back cover.
