Guilherme de Almeida's poems are here juxtaposed with Eduardo Ayrosa's photographs. Rua presents the progress of a normal day in Sao Paulo, very much crowded during the 1960's. It begins with night workers, morning light of a quieter city, then a tropical afternoon and finally a strange and sad day for night birds.

Hardcover, 277 x 218 mm. First edition, 1961. Black & white photographs. Text in Brazilian. Included in Horacio Fernandez The Latin American Photobook, p.62-63. Rubbed dust jacket but both of the binding and the inside are very fine and clean.
