Drawing inspiration from the imagery associated The Ramayana and its pervasiveness in everyday Indian life, the 7-book project A Myth of Two Souls, mixes daily life with straged pictures combining a wide range of techniques, including colour photography, hand-paited photography and collages. Over seven years Yogananthan has completed his own epic journey with thirteen trips to India, Nepal and Sri Lanka to finish A Myth of Two Souls. The seven chapters of the project, Early Times, The Promise, Exile, Dandaka, Howling Winds, Afterlife and Amma were pusblished 2016-2021.
