Sistema nervioso is the most ambitious body of work by photographer Barbara Brändli. It is a kind of "pop manifesto", a portrait of the city of Caracas, filled with ads, graffiti and other urban signs. For Sistema Nervioso, a book published in 1975 she collaborated with the famous Venezuelan artistic director John Lange. Born in Switzerland in 1932, Barbara Brandli has been living in Venezuela for
the last forty years. Sheʼs known for her work documenting the life of the Yanomami Indians in Venezuela.

Linen hardcover under dust jacket, 285 x 255 mm. First edition, 1975. Gravure printing. Design by John Lange. Text in spanish. Some fading due to time. One top of the spine a bit torn, the edges a little bit as well. Dust jacket fragile was doubled and restored by a professional. A pretty fresh copy above all. Reproductions are amazing, very well preserved. Included in The Latin American Photobook by Horacio Fernandez ; The Photobook by Parr & Badger. With a remarkable original design. Extremel
