Book designed by Yoshio Hayakawa, one of the most important artistic figures in post-war Japan. His designs,  highlighting traditional Japanese styles, were also recognized internationally. His layout sets an ideal stage for the photographs of Takeji Iwamiya in this volume, which surveys traditional Japanese architecture and objects, focusing on the beauty of their shapes and forms.

Hardcover in original slipcase, 26.5 X 18.5 cm. Book in excellent condition, slipcase shows signs of wear. Book designed by Yoshio Hayakawa.
