An album of striking photojournalism from Vietnam laid out chiefly in travel photographs commissioned by Poland’s then state-run Central Photography Agency, the book is a documentary of the Vietnam War conveyed in an accusing, propagandist, anti-war tone.
Zbigniew Staszyszyn was born in Warsaw in 1936 and he died there in 2020. A photographer and photojournalist professionally connected with Poland’s Central Photographic Agency, he was also a traveller, mountaineer and the author of photographic documentation of Polish climbing expeditions. He was a member of the Związek Polskich Artystów Fotografików (Union of Polish Art Photographers), joining the District Branch for the western Polish region of Wielkopolska in 1965.
