Write a diary but write through the eyes of someone else and recount that person's life as it unfolds on the pages before you. Watch the years go by through a collection of photographs deliberately devoid of any captions. Try and guess when the photos were taken and piece together the events partly by memory and inevitably, reconstruction. In short, tell a personal, unique story through a picture diary. The job - and indeed, it is a job, a huge one at that, when you consider the size of the archive and the vast number of photographs you have to go through - so, this second and crucial job of telling the story once you have had the time to take everything into account is not unlike film-editing. Franck Landron is no stranger to this role ; it is integral to the profession that he chose to do. He has been reconstructing stories for some time. He has also been making and producing films. His own way. (...)
