CollectiveLIVE MATCH (Complete set of 3, signed and numbered of only 50)

Japanese photobooks of the 1960’s and 70’s continue to have a lasting influence on contemporary Japanese photography. To communicate the vibrancy of this living history, GOLIGA has invited book designer Satoshi Machiguchi to reconceptualize the process of design as a live event. Open to the public, Machiguchi (also known as MATCH) will photograph spreads from photobooks included in the exhibition. These appropriations will then be incorporate into a book layout that will be printed and bound during the performance. This contemporary re-rendering of the work is a direct conceptual application of the experiments of the photography forefathers. (From the publisher)
