Roberto Huarcaya graduated in psychology, at the Universidad Católica del Perú and he studied cinema, at the Instituto Italiano and photography at the Centro del Video y la Imagen. His work is part of the Maison Européenne de la Photographie of Paris; the Fine Arts Museum of Houston; the Fototeca Latinoamericana (FOLA) of Buenos Aires; Museo Universitario de Arte Contemporáneo (MUAC) of Mexico City; among others. He also participated in a series of solo and group exhibitions in Europe, United States, South America and Asia. Huarcaya was co-director of the Bienal de Fotografía de Lima and Lima Photo, editor of Peruvian magazine CDI and editor from Peru of Sueño de la Razón, a Latin American review.
