Reportage from within a psychiatric asylum in Italy. A denunciation of the conditions of people in mental hospitals during the sixties. The text is written by Franco Basaglia, an italian psychiatrist who fought against the psychiatric institutions at that time. He wanted to create medical places more democratic and human, defending the rights of psychiatric patients.

Softcover, 185 x 245 mm. First edition, 1969. Black and white photographs. Text in italian. Fresh copy. In great condition except 3 pages in the book where we can see a trace of folding due probably at the conception. Included in The Photobook by Parr & Badger, vol. II, p.246 ; Auer, p.508. Scarce and Collectible. Copy signed by Gianni Berengo Gardin.
