2011, when the Tsunami happened, marked a year of reflection for me.
This merciless impact gave me the opportunity to give a fresh look on things appearing in everyday life and as a consequence encouraged me to reconsider the way we capture what we see, particularly in photography.
Dimension – in the meaning of the thought, a groundwork we are looking for to interrogate the representation and the replica of a subject in photography; led by the main question: how to interpret things in photography? In this way we create images from which relevant ideas or thoughts might be extracted.
For instance, in music, a same sound can change with different interpretations. This because each composer has his own way to play a piece of music.
The purpose of this serie was to multiply the ways we can see something by several photographic representations in order to create a representation of the world as a whole.
The black and white photographs are reduced to a strict minimum. Then I tried to transform some of my pictures by using color. I juxtaposed the color images to create unexpected reasonance between them helped by the link I had already tried to make before. I am happy if the way photographs connect with each other translates this profound link between them.
