"Under the perpetual threat of Vesuvius, the beauty of Naples is at its most extreme. Transfixed and enchanted, visitors contemplate and participate in this open-air theatre. Jean Luc Dubin's photographs, between light and darkness, invite you to come face to face with the very strange relationship that Neapolitans have with death and belief. Florian Villain-Carapella, a researcher in the social sciences, outlines a number of hypotheses to help us better understand this relationship."
